Where is a resolution of UN Security Council on imposing a no-fly zone over Britain?

by Konstantyn Scheglikov

August 11, 2011

On Saturday, August, 6th in the suburbs of London, a rebellion of democratically minded progressive young people dissatisfied with the dictatorship of ruling for about a half of a century, Queen Elizabeth II, broke out. They demand respect for their rights, democratic freedoms and reforms in the UK. The international community expressed support for their heroic struggle against the dictatorship of Queen Elizabeth II. The countries of the UN General Assembly require an urgent convening of the Security Council on the UK. EU leaders have expressed concern due to the fact that thousands of people have become the victims of the dictatorial regime in the UK. The police and army are using the force against the freedom fighters disproportionately. There is an evidence on the use of aircraft in the areas densely populated by the freedom fighters. The world community is concerned that officials of law enforcement agencies of the regime will continue to use force. The government and the Queen of Britain are obliged to provide security for the democratic insurgents, which are implementing nonviolent acts of disobedience; they must reform the royal government and carry out the elections for the post of a Queen of Britain. The European states are standing for a no-fly zone over Britain to ensure the safety of civilians from the troops loyal to Elizabeth II. The Queen of Great Britain has lost her legitimacy and should go. She is responsible for the crimes committed by her regime for over half of a century, the evidence of these crimes announced by the world media and Queen Elizabeth II is liable to judgment by an impartial and fair trial of the Hague Tribunal. International Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo told the UN Security Council that in a few weeks he will present in the ICC Pre-Trial Chamber a case of war crimes committed in Britain.

If Britain took place of Libya in the minds of those who consider themselves as masters of the world, we would see these lines in the media. After all, people who participated in riots in Libya, did the same thing that the insurgents are doing now in Britain. But in Libya the thugs organized from the outside also were destroying police stations and seizing the weapons storages, they were slaughtering police officers, soldiers and officers of the Army of Libya, they were cutting alive the ordinary citizens to pieces. These "rebels" were beating those whom they suspected of commitment to Gaddafi, they were hanging the half-dead people upside down on the squares and cutting off their heads and hands with swords and knives. The rebels from areas of London and other cities of England, burning cars and stealing food from stores, are just innocent babies, compared to the militants of al-Qaeda. Police in Britain is using the entire arsenal against the rebels, the army was ready to intervene. Police officials say they will not tolerate violations of public order and assault on the peaceful life of citizens of Britain.. Police violates the rights of some citizens of Britain to ensure the rights of others. Do the British authorities have a power to impose the rights and freedoms on others that they violate in their country? By all democratic norms they do not have that power, so why we don't hear condemnations of non-governmental organizations which are designed to ensure an observance of human rights around the world?

Frightened citizens of Britain need the army to enter the city to restore the order, because the police is not able to cope. Why this right of the citizens and authorities of Libya has been denied? On what grounds the bandits in Libya were allowed to destroy police stations and rob the army depots, but the rebels in England are prohibited from robbing the stores? Rebels from the UK do not try to hang their neighbors by the feet and cut their heads off, however, their right for non-violent protest is not recognized by the regime in England, same time Libya is being bombed for the protection of its own civilians from attacks on their lives.

There is one more fact about the British rebels, which global media did not tell about, and why they differ from the Libyan bandits. The revolt was raised by poor citizens of Britain of all nationalities and races, they are acting together, struggling against the regime in Britain, which deprived them of basic human rights necessary to maintain a normal standard of living:

a) The right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work and the right to protection against unemployment (Article # 23 of the Declaration of Human Rights)

b) The right to a standard of living, including food, clothing, shelter, medical care and necessary social services, adequate for the health and well-being of a person and his family (Article 25, ibid.)

a) The right to education (article 26, ibid.)

d) They have to work harder to survive, so their right to rest is not assured (Article 24, ibid.)

I advise every citizen of Europe to read the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and honestly answer yourself, what rights you have left.

In Libya, the high social standards and the level of prosperity of all citizens are comparable to the level of the middle class of developed countries, so there were no social conditions for people to be unhappy with the authorities, the riots were inspired from the outside.

Cutting social benefits, the British government at the same time is spending huge money on the war against Libya, so the corporations later can rob the weakened state and nation. If you hope that your standard of living will increase after that, you're wrong. The oligarchs who pay election expenses of candidates for power are only interested in profits.

Muammar Qaddafi in Libya has less authority than Elizabeth II of Britain, however, officials from the Western countries had the audacity to declare that he must leave the office, which he does not have. The reaction of the heads of Europe and the entire Western world and its allies on what is happening in the cities of Britain once again proves the existence of double standards in politics in these countries. Democracy and civil liberties are used to obtain a formal excuse to attack any country they deem enough weakened. If the countries of the capitalist world would follow their own words on human rights, we would now read in media reports something like I have shown in the first paragraph.

PS

While we are writing and talking about democracy, NATO is continuing to commit crimes against humanity. Today in Libya NATO has deprived of life 85 people (elderly, women and children) for one day of the bombing campaign.

The UN Security Council is obliged to establish the no-fly zone over Britain for the protection of citizens who peacefully protest against the troops loyal to the current regime in England.
